ABOUT NIROSTA
A short history
Nirosta (Pty) Ltd was established in 1994 by Eberhard Fischer. Nico Heyns was by his side as Workshop Manager and Senior Artisan from day one. In 2003 Rolf Redecker, Nico Heyns and Reinhard Redecker, all previously employed at Nirosta, bought the company. Nico Heyns retired in 2017 and Uli Schnebel became part of the team.

What do we do?
Nirosta is an abbreviation for Nicht Rostender Stahl which means steel that does not rust. As the name implies we are specialist in the stainless steel industry with a history and experience that spans over a few decades. Nirosta produces any ordinary or our more favourite - extraordinary products made from any type of material, be it Mild Steel, Structural Steel, Stainless Steel, Wear Resistant Steel or Aluminium.
Nirosta is also well known for taking on jobs of any magnitude – from welding back a broken pot handle to multi-million Dollar projects. Our team of qualified engineers and a workshop with well trained and experienced artisans and welders makes it possible to supply a wide variety of products.
Nirosta employs about 50 people of which some have been with the Company from day one. We have a 1100m² under roof workshop area with a 1500m² yard. We have welding equipment for SMAW, TIG and MIG, Plasma cutting facility, 3000mmm x160 ton and 100 ton press brakes. Guillotines with 3m beds that can cut up to 12mm plate. We also have numerous plate rollers and a profile roller as well as drilling machines, thread cutting and pipe cutting machines.
Furthermore we have 5 ton and 3 ton forklifts as well as an 8 ton Mercedes Benz truck and a 33 ton Mercedes Benz truck with an 18 ton meter crane.
